Travel
the travel bug...
It all began when I embarked on a traveling college program (AEI, no longer in operation), fondly known as "The Bus", where I left home at 17 to backpack through the Pacific Northwest to work towards a B.S. in Environmental Studies. Now, at 33 I have lived in 6 major cities and worked everywhere from Claude Monet's garden in Giverny, France to an antique sailing yacht in the Caribbean. Having moved back to Upstate NY after 3 years studying Landscape Architecture in Manhattan, I appreciate the quiet calm of my home but yearn for the airport, the beach, the city, the cuisine of the world. Featured here, are just a few of the more recent adventures.
If and when I eat something spectacular on the way I will include it in this section of the blog since those recipes are not my own.
